Heard this song on the way to work today and I got a little emotional. The most embarassing thing about that is how I mentally applied the lyrics and sentiment to the Red Sox.

I've made entire Rec Sox CDs with songs that bubble sentimentality to the surface of my soul. How f'n pathetic is that?

I'm not a Coldplay fan by any stretch but I hear 'Clocks' and I see Varitek covered in champagne holding The Trophy on top of his head. Still gets me.
Coldplay and Nickelback are the worst things to have assaulted popular music these days. But it doesn't matter what your tastes are when it comes to these nostalgic Red Sox anthems.
Alright, alright, I'll give you 3:
1. Demolition Man, The Police. I think of David Ortiz every stinking time I hear it.
2. For Boston, Dropkick Murphys.
3. And yes, I'll admit it - We Will Rock You. No further explainin' needed.
