7.6.12 PawSox @ Rochester Red Wings - ( )
Rochester wins again, 3-1. Mostly Danny Valencia's fault. Our families can't agree and he's my brother's sworn enemy.
"The PawSox (49-41) lost for the 16th time in the last 20 games yet remain the wildcard leader in the Internatioonal League. For the second night in a row, they had the tying run on base in the ninth but failed to come through."
Billy Buckner started for Pawtucket. Although Buckner allowed seven Rochester hits, they only scraped together one run. And
Garrett Mock finished things up
PJ Walters no runs "P.J. Walters pitched five shutout innings in his second rehab start since being placed on the 15-day disabled list June 14 with right shoulder inflammation."
Pitcher PJ Walters (rehab)
And no one scored until 6
8 - Pawt. - v Bobby Lanigan, singles. One out. Daniel Sattler, Hassan grounds into force for run.
D. Valencia - 6- RBI single v Buckner. 7 - Clete Thomas solo home run, Mock charged. 8- Valencia solo HR.
PAW - 9 hits. ROC - 11. W: Lanigan. L: Buckner.
No Ciriaco, no Gomez. Nate Spears is in a slump. No hits for Iglesias. Mike Rivera = Ken Huckaby. No Germano.
Enjoy Syracuse.
